Thumbs up Top class sleep induction

HALCION, TRIAZOLAM tabs by PFIZER/UPJOHN available in 125 and 250mcg strengths (therefore EXTREMELY HIGH POTENCY) is a benzodiazepine with a half life of <1.5 hours, allowing for S4 REM sleep, as its action is so short, is one of two extremely effective sleep inducers on the market. Imprinted (250mcg) 'UPJOHN 17' on an ovoid, flat tablet like the same company's XANAX of 1mg and below but flat rather than biconvex, with single score on the reverse.
It can take as little as 20 minutes to reach a blood plasma level where sleep comes quickly.
Halcion has been known to be abused by taking large dosages (1g and more) during the daytime as it does make the user feel a bit euphoric and 'high'. The usual dose is 250mcg 20 mins before sleep required; some people, in particular those using another benzodiazepine for anxiety, panic, as an anti-convulsant or skeletomuscular relaxant, may require 500mcg to get the same effect.
Personally I find Halcion to be a most excellent drug for when ai have trouble getting off to sleep. It is NOT designed for sleep maintenance, as the half life is so short that it is practically clear of the system within a couple of hours. As a specialist triazolobenzodiazepine, I would rate Halcion a rather good 9/10.
It does what it says on the box, and that very well, indeed.
