Default Chantix

I started taking Chantix on 1/10/08 and stopped taking it on 1/18/08. I experienced the expected nausea, headache and gas but I also experienced marked shortness of breath, vertigo, debilitating muscle/joint pain and stiffness in my neck, shoulders, and back. I haven't read where many people have had these same side effects but those who have, still experience these problems long after stopping the drug. I know many people who have successfully quit taking this med and experienced minor side effects. Unfortuntely, it doesn't look like I'm one of those people. It's very disappointing!<br>My advice to anyone considering Chantix, pay very close attention to how you feel before starting the meds and throughout the process. If something feels "wrong" discontinue and find another method. Chantix hasn't been around for very long and we really don't know what the future holds. BTW.........I'm breathing fine and the pain in my muscles/joints has subsided.
