Default asthma and repeated pnumonia

My 4-year-old son has been diagnosed with asthma and has been taking this medication for 7 months now. Prior to this medication we used a nebulizer often and had plenty of bouts with pnumonia, whereas we would use albuteral sulfate and pulmicort respules through the nubulizer and zithromax by mouth. Since starting on singulair he has not been sick at all -- no pnumonia, no wheezing, nothing.
