Default advise please

For the last 15yrs I've done the on again off again cycle of anti-depressants. Each drug working to an extent but never long term or controling matters completely. Within the the last 3yrs preceding the birth of my last child, irritablity, fatigue, depression, memory glitches, and unwanted suicidel thoughts, at an increase. I begged for more testing. MS was ruled out. MRI showed small lessions on a temporal area of the brain coinciding with that of drepressed patients. A question of narcylypsy still unanswered. Dr. diagnosed bi-polar with rapid cycling....(too long to remember.) I had been feeling some relief with Prozac , but the body always seems to bypass it after awhile. Just recently taken myself off of it. Irritability on the rise, and craving sleep. Would love to insert toothpicks in my eyelids to keep them open. Driving is difficult at times. Usually have to pull off and doze for about 15min. in order to continue. My children don't understand. Nor my husband. Within the last year I was perscribed the Rx "Provigil". Upon having it filled I had to decline the purchase because of its cost. No insurance. I still would like to give it a try. Judging from all the comments it sounds worth it, but I'd still like to know if there's anyone with these symtoms on provigil and having any success. Also I don't do well with caffine. I am afraid provigil may exhibit that anxiousness. I deal with that feeling by lying down and sleeping it away.
