Default Some weird experiences with Micardis

I've been on Micardis 20mg for 2 and a half months. For the 1st 4 weeks the medicine elevated my BP instead of lowering it. Fortunately, from the 2nd month it began to produce good results: mean day reading: 115/75. And there are no more morning surges for me. However, the good results have been accompanied by occasional sudden spikes happening approximately every 2 weeks (1st 3 reading mean: 147/89) and mostly in the afternoon, lasting for 1 to 2 days before it returns to normal.

I am anxious to know why this happened. What is the problem? I am rather small sized and, apart from my day readings, my night readings are already very low (95/66). Besides, I don't have other chronic diseases. So there should be no reason for dose increase?

Many thanks beforehand for any help or advice!
