Default Bextra

Started taking Bextra two months ago to reduce inflamation following knee replacement. I can no longer tolerate other anti-inflamatories after taking Daypro for a number of years because they caused kidney function problems. The Dr. said Bextra was easier on the kidneys so to try it and have my kidney function tested monthly for awhile to see if everything was okay. I have been having sores on my scalp, itching skin, burning in throat and a slight cough, and some swelling in my lower legs and ankles. I had let this go thinking my scalp problem was something I picked up at the beauty shop but after looking Bextra up on the internet I now think it is an allergy to the Bextra and am going to see my Doctor. I am allergic to sulpha and according to what I am reading I should not have been given the Bextra. The Doctor must have forgotten I was allergic to sulpha and I did not know I wasn't supposed to take Bextra if I was allergic to sulpha.
